Job Description
We are looking for energetic, dedicated, and hardworking Remote Device Clinician. RMG is looking for licensed nurse (RN, LPN, LVN) or medical device technicians experienced in reviewing implantable cardiac device (pacemakers or defibrillators) data and have experience working in a device clinic setting or a cardiology practice. The RDC role includes managing the remote monitoring interrogation data, ensuring the transmissions are scheduled properly, and prepping the reports for the cardiology provider in a timely and high-quality manner.
Responsibilities include:
Communicate device findings to physician verbally and through electronic methods
Interpret remote device reports by triaging alerts through analysis of EGMs and measured data Manage and escalate any alerts using standardized protocols
Utilize resources such as colleagues or technical services to assist with assessment and
interpretations of ECG’s.
Work closely with clinical support and administrative personnel to ensure compliance within patient population.
Schedule patients according to recommended guidelines
Ensure implant data is correct in the computer database, updating with pertinent information, such as complications or device alerts and communicating to admins when there are discrepancies
Educate patients and family when necessary regarding device or remote follow-up. Maintain expertise as new technology becomes available
Assist and attend meetings as clinical expert in assigned accounts
Attain CRAT certification within 6 months of hire date if not already attained Comply with HIPAA guidelines
Complete accurate billing data and submit to the billing team.
Comply with FDA guidelines and regulations regarding implantable devices and recalls.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in interpreting ECGs and EGMs along with demonstrated knowledge of cardiac device programming
Understanding of how to work remotely while collaborating across teams to accomplish goals Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be highly motivated as many responsibilities are self-directed 3-5 years cardiology experience, cardiac electrophysiology preferred
2-4 years implanted cardiac device experience with knowledge of all manufacturer programmers, and vendor websites
HIPAA compliance a must
CCDS or CRAT certification preferred RN, LPN, or LVN preferred
